6th August 1945… Hiroshima

Today we should remember the lives lost on this day in 1945 when the US dropped the atomic bomb “Little Boy” on Hiroshima – instantly ending the lives of around 60,000 people. Here are some photographs from the Hiroshima Peace Park and also from Nagasaki – the target of the the second atomic bomb, “Fat Boy”, dropped three days later on the 9th August 1945.
