High altitude graffiti

Graffiti seems to be everywhere these days judging by a recent trip to Karakul Lake in Tajikistan.

The lake is high in the Pamir mountains along the Pamir Highway (M41). The lake is thought to have been formed by a meteorite strike millions of years ago and lies at an altitude of 3900m (12,795 feet) above sea level. The lake is breath-taking and not just because of the altitude.

Bearing in mind the altitude and remoteness I was a little surprised to find this a example of graffiti art. It is the highest graffiti I think I’ve ever seen…

Have you seen any graffiti art in remote or high places?
